Prose Writing Peer Review
Saturday, August 19, 2017 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Ages 15 & Over

Are you a beginning or experienced writer wanting to reach a wider audience? Bringing your work for peer review helps, where you and others hear it read aloud, with helpful feedback. Each person is to bring 3 copies (double-spaced) of 2 pages (or less) of prose (story or essay) they have written. After an introduction, everyone will be divided into three small groups, each providing a peer review session.  Each person's writing will be read aloud by another and commented on by the group, as guided by a leader. The group leaders are Paul Dale Anderson, Dan Klefstad, and Chris Fink. Anderson is author of novels and short stories in the thriller, mystery, horror, fantasy, and science fiction genres and has taught creative writing for Writers Digest School. Klefstad interviews authors for NPR/WNIJ's "Read with Me" book series and recently published his novel Shepherd & the Professor and the story "The Caretaker." Fink is an English professor at Beloit College and editor of the Beloit Fiction Journal, as well as the author of Farmer's Almanac, a work of fiction. When registration is closed, you may call 815-987-6626 to be placed on a waiting list.
